Love the atmosphere and the many things to see here. Their brisket chili is the best! They do well on their BBQ and my fiance and I will get the ribs. Their selection of sauces isn't wow worthy but tasty. I particularly like their captain BBQ. The sides are a no go though. I tried an array of sides to get a feel for the places and threw them all out. Go for the BBQ and the brisket chili and you won't be disappointed!
Best wings, brisket and pulled pork in the area. The corn fritters are so crazy good. Highly Recommend.
Food is always great.. But the staff...? Make sure you check your bank account asap to see how much was debited. We have had 2 occasions where the waitress helped herself to extra tip money. The first time I called and spoke with Management, with no result. The second I didn't even bother. Now we just pass by.
LOVE the BBQ here, its by far the best in the area. Well worth the 45 minute drive to get there. Really cool environment as well!
The ribs and chicken were very dry on our sampler plate, but the brisket, pulled pork, and corn bread were good. It was a cool place with friendly staff. Look around, enjoy the free museum, mini zoo, and antique shop. But beware of dry, (so dry we couldn't eat them) ribs, and dry chicken. The brisket was mostly fat, but the meat part tasted good.
